5 Ways To Earn Cash in 2022

A job is not the only way to earn money. Living expenses are at an all time high & bills roll in every month. Whether you're looking for some extra cash, or a way to stack & save, it's always a plus to have access to gigs and side hustles.

Here are 5 ways to earn extra cash on the side or as a main source of income:

1. Sign up for gig work

In certain areas gig work is really popular because of customer demand & the pay can be decent. From food delivery to charging scooters, there are many gig jobs to choose from. Most of them have daily payout options, or at least 2 deposits a week. You’re also able to do the work as you need on your own time. With most of the gigs you need transportation.

I recommend:

- Door Dash: food delivery. Get paid per order that you complete.

- Lyft: rideshare. Get paid to give rides using your own vehicle

- Amazon Flex: package delivery. Get paid to deliver packages to Amazon’s customers.

- Instacart: shop & deliver. Get paid to shop groceries and more, for most orders you’ll need to also deliver them.

- Shipt: shop & deliver. Similar to Instacart, but they offer more shop-only orders for customers. Target is one of their known retailers.

- Instawork: get paid to work a variety of gigs. From bartending to supervising, this app isn’t based on one particular type of work. Pay is up $25 per hour.

Check the Apple Store or Google Play with searches like “make money” or “earn cash” for more opportunities.

2. Complete online surveys

I never thought online surveys actually worked, but I’ve found a few that have actually paid out. You won’t get rich off of completing surveys, but you’ll be able to pay a bill or fill your tank up if you do them often.

Most of these payout via PayPal.

Google Opinion Rewards is probably my favorite. The minimum payout is $2 at a time. This is typically about 4-5 very short surveys.

Eureka is another survey app. The max amount per survey is $5. The amount of surveys available vary for each user.

Search Apple Store or Google Play for “Paid Surveys” for more options.

3. Tap into your talent(s)

We all have something we’re good at. Rather it’s cooking or gossiping. With so many social media outlets, there is a way to capitalize off things you’re already good at. This option might even lead you to opening your own business.

Create a cooking channel or Gossiping vlog/blog. The possibilities are endless for profit, but everything will depend upon how much time, money, & energy you want to invest.

4. Become an Influencer/ Content Creator

It’s so much easier to become an influencer today than it was a few years ago. If you’re starting off as a “micro influencer”, utilize free influencer programs like Amazon.

With the Amazon program, you’ll earn commission when someone clicks on your shared link(s) and completes a purchase. You’ll also become eligible to start receiving free products to promo. Being an influencer definitely has its perks!

But, you‘ll also need to grow your social media accounts if you want longevity.

Also, you have to figure out who your target audience is. Influencing should be genuine to who you are. It just makes it easier to “sell” to your audience.

You can also start posting reels/content on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. These apps will invite you into earning programs where you get paid for video views & other content interactions. Since they are invite only, posting quality content while waiting for the invite is essential. There are other apps that have similar programs. On TikTok, you need at least 10k followers to start earning.

Research more on Google about social media outlets that have earning programs.

For Facebook, you can actually submit a form to notify them that you want to become monetized.

5. Sell used & new items on Apps like Poshmark & Mercari

On these apps, list things you don’t use anymore, or brand new items that you can make a profit off. These apps are great because they allow you to connect with other individuals that shop.

You’ll need to take photos of your item(s), and fill in basic information about it.

Once you create the listing, it goes live. If someone is interested, they’ll either contact you directly with more questions or simply purchase the item.

Be sure to package it nice & neat! Once the item is received and reviewed by the buyer, your funds are released. Poshmark & Mercari both take a selling fee from your profits.

There are other websites and apps that offer similar services.

Checkout eBay, Etsy, and Amazon. You can also sell on these platforms.

Last Tip

Make the most out of all experiences!

Most of these ways to earn will not make you rich, but they can teach you things that you can utilize in your dream job/profession.

I started selling used clothes on apps like Poshmark back in 2013. That led me to selling swimsuits and lingerie (brand new) a few years later. I learned a lot, but I also experienced many failures business wise.

Selling inventory is like an equation. You have to buy things at the right price, to make a nice profit. You also have to factor in shipping cost to you, and then from you to the customer. There a few other factors, but it just needs to make financial sense to sell or resell.

If you live near vendors, buying in person is an option.

Selling on Poshmark taught me about inventory, profit, shipping, pricing, product photos, and much more.

Now I apply some of that same knowledge to my accessory shop.

I always knew I wanted to own a business. So when I say make the most out of every experience, this is what I’m talking about. 🥰

Get paid, apply knowledge, and apply pressure!
